The Historical Society of Palm Beach County mourns The Historical Society of Palm Beach County mourns the loss of Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr., who died Saturday. His persistence and vision brought to Palm Beach County its Cultural Council and the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. His extensive philanthropy—made possible by his photographic inventions and development of Sailfish Marina, Photo Electronics Corporation, and WPEC-TV—included the creation of the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum.

Alex was a member at our highest level, The 1916 Society, and was our 2012 Archival Evening honoree. As we celebrated him then, we celebrate him now, for his brilliance and passion.

Read the Spring 2020 issue of our Tustenegee, which is linked in our bio, to learn more about Alexander W. Dreyfoos' legacy.
