Could You Pass the Civics Test to Become a Naturalized Citizen of the USA?

Applicants for US citizenship, or naturalization, are provided with 100 questions and answers to study for the civics portion of the naturalization test, which is given orally. A USCIS officer asks the applicant up to 10 of those 100, and the applicant must answer six correctly to pass the civics portion of the naturalization test. Join Judge Ginsburg and find a new appreciation for the efforts of those who aspire to be called “Americans.”

Douglas Howard Ginsburg is an American jurist and academic who serves on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He was appointed to the court at age 40 in 1986 by President Reagan and served as its chief judge 2001-2008.
