SUMMARY:History Talks: Frank Eberling on “Florida Stories Into Film”
DESCRIPTION:Hear The History of Florida!\nHistory Talks are typically held in the courtroom on the third floor of the Historic 1916 Palm Beach County Courthouse, located at 300 North Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach. Free parking is available at 5:00 pm in the parking lot on 4th Street. However, some events are held at off-site locations, so please check event details for specific venue information.\nFor more than 125 years, Florida has inspired authors and filmmakers. In the early 1900s, the Sunshine State was a filmmaking capital, producing hundreds of silent films. Some of Hollywood’s later hits, though inspired by Florida stories, were not always filmed here. Frank Eberling has made over 3,500 film and television programs, as writer, producer, director, or cinematographer. He taught college for twenty-six years and alongside Burt Reynolds for ten years at the Burt Reynolds’ Institute for Film\n
